Role Description The Automotive Mechanic (Contractor) will perform routine and advanced maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of vehicles, with a focus on supporting the installation and performance of Avolta AutoGuard (AAG) systems. Daily responsibilities include inspecting vehicles, identifying mechanical and electrical issues, completing repairs, and documenting work performed in a clear, organized manner.

The role involves collaborating with engineering and product teams to provide feedback on AAG performance, assisting with test procedures, and ensuring vehicles meet safety and quality standards. This is a contract, hybrid role based in Toronto, ON,



with regular on-site work in local facilities and some tasks that can be completed from home, such as documentation, reporting, and remote collaboration.

Qualifications

- Robust skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair to perform inspections, routine service, and corrective work.
- Proficiency in Automotive Repair and general Automotive systems, including diagnostics of mechanical and electrical components.
- Focus on Customer Satisfaction, with the ability to communicate findings, explain repairs, and maintain professional client relationships.
- Relevant technical training or certification in automotive service (e.g., automotive technician diploma, trade certification, or equivalent experience).
- Experience working with diagnostic tools, service manuals, and electronic control systems; familiarity with automotive security products is an asset.
- Ability to work safely, follow established procedures, and comply with local regulations and industry standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
