Looking for a great person with entiusiastic personality to add to our little Hotel Shediac family. La Gare restaurant is open Wed-Sat off season 4pm to 9pm with additional hours when there is functions or events at Hotel.

Join our vibrant hospitality team as a Bartender / Server at our charming boutique hotel, where your energy and passion for exceptional service will create memorable experiences for our guests. Duties

- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wines, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Take food and drink orders accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, and relay orders efficiently to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Provide attentive table service by greeting guests, explaining menu items, and offering recommendations to enhance their experience.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accurate records of sales.




- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas in compliance with food safety and food handling regulations.
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously through effective time management skills to ensure prompt service.
- Engage with guests in a friendly manner, addressing questions or concerns to foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.

Skills

- Proven experience in food industry roles such as restaurant serving or bartending, with familiarity using TOUCHBISTRO.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety at all times.
- Excellent time management skills to juggle multiple tables or drink orders efficiently during busy periods.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and making change confidently.
- Experience in the food industry with a focus on hospitality, including food service experience that emphasizes attentiveness and responsiveness.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a rapid-paced environment while demonstrating flexibility and reliability.
