Freebird Market is looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking Café & Market Team Member to join our team.

We are a chef-driven café and market serving fresh, scratch-made food, specialty coffee, prepared meals, sandwiches, salads, baked goods, and retail products.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and likes having variety in their day. You’ll be working across different areas of the café, from customer service and coffee preparation to serving food, restocking, and keeping the space organized and welcoming.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service
- Take orders and answer questions about our menu and products
- Operate the POS system and handle transactions accurately
- Prepare coffee, tea, espresso-based beverages, matcha, and other drinks
- Serve salads, prepared foods, sandwiches, baked goods, and retail products
- Heat and finish sandwiches and pizzas to order
- Package takeaway, retail, and catering orders
- Restock displays, beverages, and service areas throughout the day
- Keep the café clean, organized, and well presented
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures
- Work closely with the team and assist with other daily café tasks as needed

What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a café, restaurant,



food service, retail, or hospitality environment
- Friendly, confident, and professional communication skills
- Comfortable working directly with customers
- Able to multitask and stay organized during busy periods
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Comfortable learning and working across different stations
- Willing to help wherever needed to keep the café running smoothly
- Full-time availability is required
- Evening and weekend availability is required

Strong Assets
- Previous barista or coffee experience
- Experience using an espresso machine, including steaming milk and pulling shots
- Smart Serve certification
- Experience using a POS system
- Previous food handling or food service experience
