About the Role

Oomomo Café is looking for reliable and energetic team members to join our growing kitchen team. In this role, you will primarily assist with food preparation and cooking while helping maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook food according to OOMOMO Café recipes, quality standards, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including stovetops, deep fryers, and other food preparation equipment.

- Prepare raw meats, sauces, ingredients, and other food items for daily café operations.

- Assist with food preparation, cooking, portioning, plating, and assembling customer orders.

- Ensure all food is prepared accurately, consistently, and within required service times.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food preparation area at all times.

- Restock, organize, and monitor ingredients, food supplies, and packaging to ensure sufficient inventory.

- Follow proper food handling, storage, labeling, and stock rotation procedures.

- Comply with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety regulations.





- Work closely with other café team members to maintain smooth and efficient daily operations.

- Assist with opening and closing duties, cleaning, and other kitchen tasks as required.

- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Store Manager.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations is an asset but not required.

- A valid Food Handler Certificate is an asset but not required.

- Comfortable handling raw meat and operating kitchen equipment, including stovetops, deep fryers, and knives.

- Able to follow recipes, instructions, and food safety procedures.

- Reliable, responsible, and able to work in a fast-paced setting.

- Able to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to cleanliness.

- Available to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: From $16.40 per hour
