Work Remotely Anywhere in the Province of New Brunswick. WorkSafeNB is hiring a Bilingual written and spoken Case Manager for a permanent position within our Claims Management team. We're also creating a talent pool of qualified Bilingual written and spoken candidates for future permanent and term opportunities.

When you apply, you'll be considered not only for the current opening but also for upcoming bilingual Case Manager roles over the next year. Reporting to a dedicated Claims Management leader, you are responsible for a broad range of responsibilities including assessing the needs of individual workers and administering the benefit provisions of the Workers' Compensation Act. liaising with employers, health-care providers, unions, and other service providers to ensure access to appropriate medical and vocational rehabilitation services. Other responsibilities include managing assigned caseloads, preparing reasoned plain language decisions, adhering to procedures for return-to-work management and approving/authorizing services and benefits for injured workers on an ongoing basis.

Monday to Friday between 8:00-5:00 PM.

Experience in building strong trusting relationships with clients and external service providers to promote early and safe return to work outcomes. Work collaboratively with injured workers, employers, and health-care professionals, in the development of the return-to-work plan. Prepare written decisions that contain the issue in review, the policy tests, the evidence, the weighing of evidence, the rationale for the decision and conclusion that supports WorkSafeNB's position.

Act as principal decision maker on assigned claims and effectively communicate decisions both verbally and in writing when determining entitlement to compensation, services, and medical aid. A degree in the field of health-related sciences or Social Sciences (e.g., Psychology or Social Work)



would be considered an asset. Five years of experience in the field of medical management, disability management, vocational counseling, vocational rehabilitation, or other related work experience.

Either have, or be willing to obtain, certification in disability management within two years of employment. Knowledge of social agencies and the services/benefits available such as Social Assistance, Employment insurance, Canada Pension Plan Disability. Knowledge of or experience with the following acts would be an asset: Demonstrate critical thinking and reasoning for decision-making and writing is considered an asset.

Experience in interpreting and implementing legislation and policy is considered an asset. Planning and Organizing Written and spoken competence in English and French is required for these positions.
