Alive Montessori and Private School is Seeking a Passionate CASA Montessori Teacher

Alive Montessori and Private School is looking for an energetic CASA Montessori Teacher to join our dynamic team and contribute to the growth and development of our young learners.

Position: CASA Montessori Teacher

Location: 2 Wembley Road, Toronto, Ontario

The chosen applicant must possess strong leadership skills; be responsible and able to work independently while also being a good team player. Being creative, energetic, and flexible are also key characteristics required for the position. You also must have a very positive and qualified attitude and be willing to work and contribute to our school and community.

Responsibilities:

- Create a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the physical, emotional, and intellectual development of preschool and kindergarten children.
- Implement the Montessori Method in daily lesson plans, activities, and interactions to promote independent thinking, exploration, and a love for learning.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration.




- Assess and monitor each child's progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs and encouraging a sense of self-confidence and autonomy.
- Plan and organize age-appropriate activities, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience that covers various developmental domains.
- Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities- field trips and school events.
- Provide opportunity for creative expression through art, dramatic play and music.
- Prepare progress reports and conduct parent teacher interviews.
- Maintain child care supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:

- Accredited Montessori Teacher with a MACTE-approved Montessori Diploma is preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Holds a current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Possesses current Criminal Reference Check.
- Must provide a clear health assessment- including TB test.
- Able to ensure that all legislation pertaining to the CCEYA are implemented.
