These positions involve preparing food for office catering, events, buffet and reception style stand up events, as well as going offsite to events. Offsite work may inlcude BBQ, buffets, family style and plated dinners. No line cooking.

Conveniently located in Esquimalt, the Little Piggy kitchen abounds with natural light, ample space and happy people. Shifts are mainly, but not exclusively daytime and usually end between 4-6pm. Evenings shifts tend to finish by 8-9pm. We operate 7 days a week. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

-Drivers License (required)

-Weekend availability (required)

-Professional kitchen experience (required)

-Culinary education is an asset

-Comfort with grilling and carveries is an asset

-Must be comfortable taking responsibility for your work, working with limited supervision.

-Must be able to work with, and without, formal recipes.

-Physical fitness appropriate for kitchen and offsite catering work (extended periods of standing, lifting up to 50lbs etc...).
