About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Chemical Plant Supervisor to oversee operations at their facility in East London . This role requires strong leadership skills to manage a team of plant operators, ensuring that all production activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards. You will be responsible for daily scheduling, troubleshooting operational issues, and implementing best practices to optimize plant performance. This is a hands‑on position critical to maintaining smooth and productive operations. Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of plant operators and technicians.
- Ensure safe operation of all plant equipment and adherence to safety procedures and protocols.
- Monitor production processes, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to maintain product quality and efficiency.
- Manage shift schedules, work assignments, and personnel performance.




- Conduct regular safety inspections and participate in incident investigations.
- Train new employees on plant operations, safety procedures, and quality standards.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical plant operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Solid understanding of chemical processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a plant environment, including shift work if required.
