Job Duties

- Supervise and care for children in employer’s residence

- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks

- Organize and participate in activities such as games, reading, crafts, and outings

- Assist children with homework and school routines

- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home

- Perform light housekeeping and laundry related to child care

- Accompany children to and from school, appointments, and activities

- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development

- Tend to the emotional well-being of the children

Requirements

- Completion of secondary school (high school)

- Minimum 1 year of full-time experience in child care, additional training available

- Ability to communicate in English

- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

- Reliable, patient, caring, and non-smoking

- Vehicle Required

Work Setting

- Private household (employer’s home)

Employment Conditions

- Overtime may be required

- Flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00 per hour
