Night Cleaner – Restaurant

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Night Cleaner to join our team at Gino’s. This position is ideal for someone who manages their time well, takes pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards, and is comfortable working both independently and with other team members.

Before working independently, the successful candidate will complete standard training with management or an experienced team member to ensure all cleaning procedures, equipment use, safety requirements, and expectations are understood.

Responsibilities

- Clean and sanitize dining areas, kitchen areas, food preparation areas, washrooms, staff areas, and service stations
- Sweep, mop, and thoroughly clean floors
- Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, counters, shelving, and work surfaces
- Clean kitchen and prep areas according to proper sanitation procedures
- Clean underneath and around kitchen equipment, workstations, tables, and hard-to-reach areas
- Clean washrooms and replenish supplies as required
- Empty garbage and recycling and replace liners
- Clean doors, windows, glass, walls, and high-touch surfaces
- Complete detailed and deep-cleaning tasks as assigned
- Power wash the patio and outdoor areas during the summer season as required
- Maintain and organize cleaning supplies and equipment
- Complete assigned cleaning duties within the scheduled time
- Work with other team members on larger or additional cleaning tasks when required
- Be willing to take on additional cleaning responsibilities as directed by management
- Report maintenance issues, leaks, damage, or safety concerns to management
- Ensure the restaurant is clean, organized, and ready for the next day

Training & Expectations
- Standard training will be provided before working independently
- Training will include cleaning procedures,



sanitation standards, equipment use, cleaning products, and workplace safety
- Employees must demonstrate the ability to complete required duties properly and within the expected timeframe before working on their own
- Follow established cleaning checklists and management instructions
- Be flexible and willing to assist with additional cleaning tasks when needed

Qualifications
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to work independently after completing training
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and complete duties within the scheduled shift
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and willing to assist coworkers and management
- Able to follow instructions and established cleaning procedures
- Comfortable working late-night or early-morning hours
- Previous restaurant, commercial, or skilled cleaning experience is an asset
- Ability to perform physical cleaning duties, including standing, bending, lifting, sweeping, mopping, and seasonal power washing

Position Details
- Position: Night Cleaner
- Job Type: Part-time / Permanent
- Summer Schedule: 10:00 PM – 2:00 AM
- Winter Schedule: 5:00 AM – 9:00 AM
- Seasonal Schedule Change: Shift times change between summer and winter based on restaurant operational needs.
- Work Location: In-person at Gino’s
- Training: Standard training provided before independent shifts

We are looking for someone who is dependable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage their own workload after proper training. The ideal candidate takes pride in cleanliness, works efficiently, and is willing to support the team with additional cleaning tasks when needed. Pay: $18.00 per hour
