Cloud has adopted these technologies into the core of our product, which is driving us to find experienced and high‑performing individuals that can learn and contribute to these full software stack solutions to fulfill the strict requirements of edge computing use cases from security to high availability. The team delivers in the areas of configuration management, fault management and host management. In addition, Wind River Cloud team is a leading contributor to the Open‑Source StarlingX cloud native project, to manage and maintain the critical infrastructure for highly distributed Edge solutions.

As an Associate Cloud Engineer, you will join Wind River's Cloud Platform Engineering team and contribute to the development of cloud‑native infrastructure solutions that power next‑generation edge computing and 5G deployments. You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop, test, and improve software components used in highly distributed cloud environments. Design, develop, and maintain software modules using C, C++, and Python.

Participate in the development and testing of cloud platform components for edge and distributed computing environments. Contribute to software quality through test automation, debugging, and root cause analysis. Collaborate with global engineering teams in an agile development environment.

Document technical solutions, designs, and implementation details. Contribute to open‑source projects,



including technologies associated with StarlingX and cloud‑native infrastructure. Learn and apply best practices related to scalability, reliability, and cloud software development.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. Strong programming skills in C and C++.

Experience with Python scripting. Solid understanding of object‑oriented programming concepts. Knowledge of software development methodologies and debugging techniques. Understanding of Linux‑based development environments.

Passion for learning current technologies and solving technical challenges. Test automation frameworks Open‑source software development Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Passion for building scalable, reliable, and high‑quality software.

Compensation will be determined through interviews and a review of the candidate's education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and internal equity considerations. Annual incentive plan eligibility may apply based on company policy and position level.
