Overview The CNC Horizontal Lathe Machinist is self-motivated and results driven individual who is organized, analytical with exceptional communication and team fostering skills. As a CNC Horizontal Lathe Machinist, you are committed to providing attentive support for internal parties, ensuring consistent, efficient operations according to Girotti Machine standards. Operators need not apply, we are looking for someone who has set-up, written programs, can tool up and has machined on a large lathe for longer than 7 years.

This is not an entrance position, this is a posting to hire a machinist, not an operator.

Critical Success Factors

- Trained in ISO 9001-2008 and Z299 requirements and standards
- Brilliant at time management and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent tech savvy skills and strong working knowledge of CNC machines and Auto CAD.
- Strong mathematical aptitude.
- Willingness to participate and support other aspects of the organization.




- Machinist, not operator.

Overall expectations:
- Communicate effectively with all team members and management
- Experience with machining techniques using machinery including but not limited to LARGE manual and CNC lathes.
- Proficient in programming, setting up operating and basic maintenance of CNC machinery and machining centres.
- Ability to interpret all work-related drawings.
- Adhere to company standards and production policies to meet company objectives.
- Further develop and enhance company culture.
- Perform special projects in support of the organizations business objectives.
- Perform other duties as required by Supervisor.
- Must have experience with cranes 5 ton and up.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 7 years machining experience
- Machinist Apprenticeship Program, General Machinist Certificate or relevant experience (grandfathered) preferred
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Able to excel in high pressure situations.
- Capable of physical demands including heavy lifting with assistance.
- Proficient in reading and writing English.

Pay: $26.00-$36.00 per hour
