Currently we are looking for an Experienced Concrete Finisher’s and Form Setter’s for our Road Construction Crews for 30 – 60 days straight through with overtime for the end-of-season road construction.

Responsibilities:

- Inspect: formwork, granular bases, and steel reinforcement to ensure they meet project specifications.
- Direct: and assist with the placement of concrete into forms and designated surfaces.
- Fill: hollows, smooth imperfections, and correct uneven areas on freshly poured concrete.
- Level: and grade concrete surfaces according to specified grades, depths, and project requirements.
- Finish:



concrete surfaces using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Apply hardening, curing, and sealing compounds to protect and properly cure finished surfaces.
- Maintain: a strong commitment to workplace safety and follow all applicable safety procedures and practices.
- Work collaboratively: with the crew to maintain productivity, quality, and project timelines.
- Perform: other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in concrete finishing is required.
- Construction Experience: Previous construction experience is preferred; experience operating power vibrators for concrete compaction is considered an asset.
- Work Environment: Ability to work effectively for extended periods in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment and under pressure.
- Driver’s License: Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to various job sites throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas.
- Attention to Detail: Robust attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Weather Conditions: Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Teamwork & Independence: Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility: Adaptable and flexible with changing job requirements and work conditions.
- Availability: Willingness and ability to work extended hours, overtime, and weekends as required.
