Newfound Mechanical Ltd. is looking for a dependable, motivated, and hardworking Construction Labourer to join our team and support a variety of residential and commercial construction projects.

POSITION OVERVIEW The successful candidate will work alongside experienced tradespeople, supervisors, and project managers to help complete projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This position involves a variety of hands-on tasks, including site preparation, demolition, material handling, cleanup, installation assistance, and general construction duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist with general construction activities on residential and commercial job sites
- Prepare construction sites before work begins
- Load, unload, carry, and organize building materials, tools, and equipment
- Assist carpenters, framers, drywall installers, concrete workers, and other tradespeople
- Perform demolition and removal of existing materials when required




- Assist with framing, flooring, drywall, siding, roofing, concrete, and other construction tasks
- Measure, cut, move, and position materials under the direction of experienced workers
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and correctly
- Set up and take down ladders, temporary barriers, work areas, and equipment
- Assist with site preparation, excavation, and general landscaping-related construction tasks when required
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
- Remove construction debris and dispose of materials appropriately
- Help receive, move, and store materials and supplies
- Follow instructions from supervisors and skilled tradespeople
- Protect finished work and materials from damage
- Assist with final job-site cleanup and preparation for project completion
- Perform other general construction duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

- Previous construction or general labor experience is an asset
- Experience in residential or commercial construction is considered an asset
- Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools
- Good understanding of basic construction practices is an asset




- Ability to follow directions and work effectively with a team
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Reliable and punctual with a good attendance record
- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying construction materials and equipment
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday
- Ability to work at heights when required and follow appropriate safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Valid driver's license is an asset
- WHMIS, First Aid, fall protection, or other construction-related certifications are an asset

Working Hours: 8:00AM – 4:30PM with extra hours based on operational needs

Employment Status: Full-Time

Compensation: $18.00 - $21.00/hourly + 10% Vacation
