Role Overview

We are looking for a flexible and proactive Site Supervisor to manage effective trade and worksite operations. In this role, you will maintain a safe work site and serve as the main point of contact for homeowners, suppliers, and inspectors. Reporting directly to the President and working closely with trade partners, suppliers, and office staff, you will bring strong leadership and adaptability to an environment where priorities change regularly.

Compensation & Benefits

- Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000 per year (commensurate with experience)

- Schedule: Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM. Occasional weekend flexibility and emergency on-call availability may be required depending on project demands.

Key Responsibilities

- Worksite & Project Leadership: Oversee and manage the construction of homes from start to finish while enforcing all Birchwood processes, policies, and procedures.
- Schedule Management:



Maintain and execute the full construction schedule for all active builds, ensuring milestones are met on time and trades remain on track.
- Onsite Personnel & Labour Management: Directly manage all onsite personnel and site labourers, providing direction and oversight to ensure daily job site cleanup, safety, and efficient workflow.
- Certificates, Permitting & Inspections: Conduct and issue completion certificates for various construction stages, coordinate municipal building inspections, and secure Occupancy Permits prior to closing.
- Warranty & PDI Support: Support and coordinate with the Warranty Coordinator by directing trades and site resources to swiftly resolve Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) items, post-closing deficiencies, and Tarion warranty requests.
- Quality & Safety Assurance: Ensure strict compliance with the Ontario Building Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and Birchwood’s quality standards.
- Daily Walkthroughs & Inspections: Complete daily walkthroughs of all homes to detect potential issues, conduct frame checks, attend all site inspections, assist inspectors, and resolve any issues promptly.
- Trade & Supplier Coordination: Supervise contractors and suppliers, schedule site deliveries, and assist in material ordering.
- Homeowner & Office Liaison:



Meet with homeowners throughout the build process and collaborate with site and office staff to maintain clear, effective communication.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Licensing: Valid G Driver’s License (Required).
- Education: Post-secondary education in construction management or equivalent (Required).
- Leadership Experience: Minimum 2 years in a site leadership role (Required).
- Industry Experience: 3 to 5 years of related experience in the new home industry (Asset).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Full working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Required).
