Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a . This role involves providing exceptional African food service, preparing meals, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food handling, cooking, and restaurant operations, with a focus on maintaining high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

- Determine the size of food portions and costs
- Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies
- Prepare and cook complete African meals or individual dishes and foods
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food




- Order supplies and equipment
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Manage kitchen operations

Experience

- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen setting preferred
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards essential
- Experience with African cuisine preparation
- Familiarity with the food industry’s best practices for hygiene and safety is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for delivering excellent customer service and creating enjoyable dining experiences

Pay: $17.00 per hour
