Automotive Parts Counter Salesperson

Venus Auto Parts is looking for an experienced and reliable Automotive Parts Counter Salesperson to join our team.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of automotive parts, can confidently identify the correct parts for different vehicle applications, and is comfortable working directly with repair shops, mechanics, and retail customers.

Responsibilities

- Assist customers at the parts counter and over the phone
- Look up and identify automotive parts using electronic catalog systems
- Recommend the correct parts based on year, make, model, VIN, and application
- Prepare quotes and process customer orders
- Handle incoming calls from repair shops and wholesale customers
- Check inventory, pricing, and availability
- Source parts when required
- Process invoices, returns, warranties, and exchanges
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding pricing and order status




- Maintain an organized and professional counter/work area
- Build strong relationships with existing and new customers

Qualifications
- Previous automotive parts counter or parts sales experience strongly preferred
- Good knowledge of automotive parts and vehicle systems
- Experience using automotive parts catalogues or lookup software
- Comfortable working with computers and POS/invoicing systems
- Solid communication and customer-service skills
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, organized, and punctual
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Automotive repair or mechanical knowledge is an asset
