Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs): Education
- 1.MA in a relevant field (i.e., science education) and/or extensive relevant experience as a school educator/pedagogue/community educator
- 2.PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is an asset
Experience
- 1.Expert knowledge of: Elementary science pedagogy, as outlined in the course description Research on elementary science pedagogy Research on elementary students' scientific thinking and practice
- 2.Experience as a master teacher/instructor science, mathematics, or a related field in the Quebec educational system
- 3.Knowledge of the Quebec Education Program (QEP)
- 4.Familiarity with the skilled competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation
Other
- 1.Previous successful experience teaching similar course(s) at the undergraduate level
- 2.Knowledge of the impact and proven record integrating pedagogical approaches anchored to equity, diversity and inclusion
- 3.Familiarity using myCourses, ZOOM and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences
- 4.Familiarity teaching blended classes is an asset
- 5.Familiarity with the application of a variety of digital teaching and learning tools
- 6.Familiarity of and/or experience with the practice-based pedagigies in science teacher education is an asset.

- 1.Commitment to working with a team of committed and engaged instructors.
- 2.Must be available to attend course coordination meeting minimum of 2 weeks in advance of course start date.
