Teaching Qualification Requirements
- Master educator with an MA (i.e., social studies education, social studies teaching and learning) and/or extensive relevant experience as a school educator/teacher/pedagogue
- PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is an asset
Experience
- Experience as a master k/elementary teacher/instructor with knowledge of: Quebec’s educational program Quebec’s social studies program at the elementary school level The teaching and learning of social studies (history, geography, and citizenship education) Elementary teaching and learning theory/ methodologies Sound instructional techniques
Other
- Previous successful experience teaching similar course(s) at the undergraduate level
- Experience as a master teacher/instructor in the Quebec educational system is an asset
- Knowledge of the impact and proven record integrating pedagogical approaches anchored to equity, diversity and inclusion
- Familiarity using myCourses, ZOOM and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences
- Familiarity teaching blended classes is an asset
- Familiarity with the application of a variety of digital teaching and learning tools
