As a key member of the Facilities team, theCustodian works diligently to carry out their duties (including cleaning,maintenance, safety & security, and reporting & documentation) in orderto create an environment that is conducive to providing quality care to thosein need. Cleans, washes and disinfects building areas such as walls, windows,ceilings, floor, carpets, air vents, furniture, mattresses,
blinds andwashrooms by methods such as dusting, polishing, vacuuming, sweeping, wetmopping, shampooing, waxing, buffing, using various manual and power cleaningequipment. performs minor gardening tasks such as mowing and trimminglawn, weeding, watering. In coordination with the Facilities Manager and Program Manager, performsminor maintenance on buildings, grounds, furniture, electrical fixtures andplumbing; Sets up furniture for functions and meetings. assists in taking inventory; orders andmaintains janitorial supplies.
Secures the building by arming alarms, locking doors and windows, asrequired. Training and Experience ~ Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Review for Vulnerable people Must hold a valid class 5 or 7 drivers license and clean drivers abstract Possesses a high level of knowledge regarding substance use disorders, mental health challenges, treatment, and recovery and is familiar with and understands the "Housing First" model and the importance of bio-psycho-social-spiritual support in addressing these challenges.
