Kallar Welding & Fabrication is growing, and we're looking for skilled welders to join our field team.
We specialize in mobile welding, pile welding, structural fabrication and installation, crane installations and miscellaneous steel work on construction and industrial projects.
Apprentices are welcome to apply. We're willing to train the right person with a strong work ethic, a good attitude, and a willingness to learn.
What We're Looking For
- Valid CWB FCAW certification
- Experience reading and interpreting basic blueprints
- Ability to read and follow welding procedures and specifications
- Experience with pile and structural welding is an asset
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Safety-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions
- Willingness to travel for projects throughout Canada
- Valid driver's licence and clean driver's abstract
What You'll Be Doing As a Kallar Field Welder, your work may include:
- Pile splicing, caps and structural pile welding
- Structural steel welding and installation
- Miscellaneous steel fabrication and field work
- Reading and interpreting drawings,
welding procedures and project specifications
- Operating hand, power and welding equipment safely
- Inspecting and maintaining your welding rig, tools and equipment
- Completing required daily paperwork and safety documentation
- Working alongside other welders, surveyors, installation crews and site supervision
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Following Kallar's quality and safety requirements
Required Certifications
- CWB Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
- CSTS
- WHMIS
- First Aid is an asset
Additional site-specific training may be required depending on the project.
