The Accountant role entails working closely with the Accounting Manager to handle financial reporting and daily accounting operations.
You will contribute to month-end closings, assuring compliance with Canadian accounting principles and regulations. Candidates must show robust attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities successfully. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare month-end adjusting journal entries and payroll entries
- Review general ledger and balance sheet accounts
- Submit government reports regarding funding and revenue
- Resolve resident billing discrepancies promptly
- Assist in annual budgets and year-end audit schedules
Requirements:
- College diploma or university degree in accounting
- 1-3 years of accounting experience in multi-entity settings
- Knowledge of Canadian accounting principles
- Progress toward CPA designation preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
