About The Role

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team and enhance our infrastructure, deployment processes, and operational systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability, scalability, and reliability of our backend, frontend, and internal services within an AWS-based environment. The successful candidate will work across various domains including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and incident response.

You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to develop safer deployment strategies, automate operational tasks, and improve system resilience. Your expertise will help Newton maintain high availability and operational excellence, supporting critical systems through proactive monitoring, failover planning, and incident management. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about automation, cloud infrastructure, and building robust systems in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications





- Proven experience managing production systems in AWS or similar cloud environments
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation tools
- Hands-on experience with AWS networking components such as VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, load balancers, and DNS
- Proficiency in Linux, shell scripting, Python, and Go programming languages
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as ECS or Kubernetes
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions, Pulumi, Terraform, or equivalent infrastructure as code tools
- Knowledge of observability platforms including Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana
- Understanding of databases and message queues such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and async workers
- Experience with edge and traffic management tools like Cloudflare or similar
- Practical approach to automation, reliability, and operational workflows
- Experience with incident response, on-call management, and postmortem analysis
- Strong troubleshooting skills across application, infrastructure, and data layers

Responsibilities

- Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and environment management for backend, web, and internal services
- Build, support, and scale cloud infrastructure on AWS, utilizing container-based services
- Improve monitoring, alerting, logging,



dashboards, and tracing systems to ensure high visibility into system health
- Develop and implement safer deployment strategies, rollback plans, and recovery procedures
- Automate repetitive operational tasks and improve internal tooling for efficiency
- Maintain and evolve infrastructure as code and deployment automation tools
- Assist in failover planning, backup and restore testing, and recovery procedures for critical systems
- Provide ongoing support for production systems and participate in on-call rotations for critical services
- Lead incident response efforts, conduct postmortems, and implement follow-up actions to prevent recurrence
- Drive continuous improvements in system reliability, resilience, and operational readiness
