Our client, a beautiful property in Niagara Falls, requires the services of an outstanding Director of Conference Services and Events for their very well-known luxury property.

The ideal candidate’s responsibilities are to ensure that conference services are delivered to the highest standards and in support of hotel goals. This position would have a number of key individuals reporting to them.

The responsibilities of the Director will be to lead the Conference Services and Events Department of this hotel and be able to manage and execute short- and long-term planning based on budgeted sales and profits and exceed these for this operation

He/she must be an excellent leader who will be able to train and supervise the team and build long-term customer relationships, which will enable achievement of sales objectives.

You must be able to develop and implement effective marketing plans. Work with Conference Services staff, in order to solicit and book functions, plan and merchandise, and execute event functions.

Requirements

Our client requires a candidate who has a minimum of 5 years of luxury resort/hotel catering/conference services experience, of which 3 years should have been in a senior role.

Must be an excellent communicator in both written and verbal skills in English and must have a positive knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as experience with a PMS and sales program
