Referment is working with a fintech that provides card and payments platforms to banks and other financial services businesses. It is looking for an experienced client-facing delivery skilled to take complex platform implementations from planning through launch, then remain responsible for the client relationship once the service is live.

This is a senior individual-contributor role, rather than a people-management position. You'll bring structure to multi-workstream delivery, make ownership of decisions and open items clear, and translate product and engineering progress into information that client executives can act on.

The remit continues beyond implementation. You'll cover a portfolio of banking and fintech clients, run their operating cadence, monitor account health and turn requests into structured input for product prioritisation. The role is remote within Canada and works on Eastern Time.

The Role

- Manage scope, timelines, risks and dependencies across digital banking, card and payments implementations, coordinating internal teams and client stakeholders.
- Build practical delivery processes: status meetings, risk and issue tracking, decision logs and clear accountability for outstanding commitments.
- Own client communications, from weekly delivery detail to executive summaries, explaining blockers and trade-offs in business terms.
- Run account reviews, roadmap discussions and prioritisation sessions after launch,



bringing in product and engineering colleagues to assess feasibility and sequencing.
- Use adoption, satisfaction, support trends and portfolio KPIs to identify risk early and maintain a clear view of each account's health and commitments.
- Lead client reviews after incidents or delivery issues, explaining the cause and agreeing a forward-looking action plan.

What We're Looking For

- A substantial track record in consulting or project management, typically five to seven or more years, with strong enterprise client relationship experience.
- Evidence of delivering complex implementations and building effective operating rhythms where processes are not already established.
- The ability to earn senior stakeholders' trust and communicate clearly with executive and board-level audiences.
- Confidence working with product and engineering teams, reporting data and portfolio analytics to resolve delivery problems and inform decisions.
- A pragmatic approach to governance: enough structure to keep delivery accountable without making the process heavier than the work requires.

Useful Additional Experience Credit card or lending portfolio experience, financial services consulting, and exposure to AI or large language models would be useful rather than essential. This could suit a financial services implementation lead, consulting delivery manager or client delivery professional who wants to remain hands-on across both project execution and ongoing account coverage.
