Tech Vertical Leadership Represent their Tech Vertical across the organization. Define and execute the tech development strategy in alignment with business objectives. Drive innovation and continuous improvement in tech development practices.
Team Management
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of software engineers, SDIT, Product Owners, and technical leads. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence. Proactively plan and execute recruitment strategies to enable the successful execution of their roadmap.
Project Oversight
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of tech projects. Provide visibility to the business on progress and deadlines. Ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards. Capture, monitor and report the effort spent within their Tech Vertical (CapEx, SR&ED;, etc.).
Process Optimization
Implement and refine agile methodologies and tech development lifecycle processes. Monitor KPIs and metrics to assess team performance and project health.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment and effective communication. Translate business requirements into technical solutions. Collaborate with the SRE team to document, coordinate and communicate releases to the business stakeholders. Collaborate with the various stakeholders to report on their Tech Vertical to the Tech Platform Leadership Team (TPLT).
Technology Governance
Make decisions on software architecture, technology stack, and tools. Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards. Contribute to the success and excellence of the other Tech Verticals by promoting standardization, by sharing lessons learned and by supporting them with expertise and/or bandwidth when necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in software development, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale software projects and teams.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, architecture, and modern development practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and agile methodologies.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in budgeting and resource planning.
- Familiarity with data-driven decision-making and performance analytics.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI/ML.
