Responsibilities

- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold food safety standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as ingredient prep, assembling plates, or portioning items under supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas including floors, counters, sinks, and storage spaces to ensure a protected and sanitary environment.
- Support the kitchen staff with meal assembly and food handling as needed during busy service times.
- Follow proper food safety protocols and handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.




- Dispose of waste properly and manage recycling processes to keep the kitchen tidy and environmentally responsible.
- Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock levels or shortages.

Skills

- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and meal preparation helps support kitchen operations effectively.
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures ensures compliance with health regulations.
