Overview

Sammi & Soup Dumpling is looking for a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher / Kitchen Helper to support our kitchen operations. This role includes dishwashing, food and appetizer preparation, general kitchen cleaning, and assisting at the pan-fried dumpling station.

The ideal candidate is organized, attentive to cleanliness, comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment, and able to work cooperatively with other team members.

Responsibilities

- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
- Assist with daily food preparation and ingredient preparation.
- Prepare and portion appetizers according to restaurant standards.
- Assist with the pan-fried dumpling station as assigned and after training.
- Keep kitchen workstations, floors, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized.
- Restock ingredients, dishes, and kitchen supplies as needed.
- Complete opening, closing, and general cleaning duties.




- Follow food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures.
- Support cooks and other kitchen team members during service.

Qualifications

- Previous kitchen, food preparation, or restaurant experience is an asset but not required.
- Willing to learn food preparation and cooking procedures.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and attentive to cleanliness and food safety.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and carrying.
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and closing shifts as scheduled.

Pay: From $18.25 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
