Sammi & Soup Dumpling is looking for a skilled and reliable Dumpling Chef / Dumpling Maker to join our kitchen team. This position focuses on preparing handmade dumplings, including dough, wrappers, fillings, wrapping, and portioning, while maintaining consistent quality and food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare dumpling dough, wrappers, fillings, and other ingredients.
- Hand-wrap dumplings according to restaurant standards for size, shape, and portion.
- Maintain consistency in taste, appearance, and quality.
- Prepare and organize ingredients for daily production.
- Monitor ingredient freshness and proper storage.
- Keep the dumpling preparation station, equipment, and work surfaces clean and organized.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures.
- Assist with other kitchen preparation and production tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous dumpling-making, Xiao Long Bao, or kitchen preparation experience is preferred.
- Good hand skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work quickly while maintaining consistent quality.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a kitchen team.
- Strong understanding of cleanliness and food safety.
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive food-preparation tasks.
- Willing to learn and follow our preparation standards.
Pay: From $18.25 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
