ECE Centre Manager – Full-Time

Location: Port Moody, BCPosition: ECE Manager / Centre ManagerEmployment: Full-timePay: $30–$34/hour, depending on experience and qualifications

We are looking for an experienced, caring and confident Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Manager to join our established childcare centre in Port Moody.

This is a leadership position for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and has strong knowledge of BC Child Care Licensing requirements, regulations and best practices.

Requirements

- Valid BC Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in licensed childcare
- Previous ECE leadership or management experience strongly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of BC Child Care Licensing Regulations
- Experience maintaining licensing compliance and preparing for licensing inspections
- Excellent understanding of staff-to-child ratios, documentation, health and safety requirements and childcare policies
- Solid communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lead, support and mentor an ECE team
- Warm, professional and respectful approach with children, families and staff
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Current criminal record check and other required certifications/documents

Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of the childcare centre
- Ensure compliance with BC licensing regulations and centre policies
- Lead, support and mentor ECEs and childcare staff




- Manage staff schedules, coverage and daily classroom operations
- Maintain required licensing and centre documentation
- Communicate professionally with parents and families
- Support enrolment, orientation and transitions for children
- Monitor health, safety, supervision and classroom practices
- Assist with licensing inspections and follow-up requirements
- Support staff professional development
- Address day-to-day concerns and resolve issues professionally
- Maintain a positive, respectful and welcoming environment for children, families and staff
- Work closely with the owner to ensure the centre operates smoothly and maintains a high standard of care
