We’re growing, come grow with us!

Capital City Emergency Veterinary Hospital is a privately owned, independent, locally operated emergency veterinary hospital. We opened just one year ago and have been busy since day one. We are the sister hospital of Port City Emergency Veterinary Hospital in Saint John.

We’re looking for a veterinarian to join our 8-doctor team. New grads, 2027 grads, GPs looking for a change and experienced ER veterinarians are all welcome.

We hire for personality, work ethic and an eagerness to learn. We can teach the rest.

You’ll work alongside an extremely supportive team of experienced veterinarians, excellent technicians and dedicated support staff who allow you to focus on what matters most: the medicine, decision making and clients.

What We Offer

- 4-on / 4-off schedule, rotating through 4 days, 4 swings and 4 nights
- Competitive base salary ($125–160k DOE) + lucrative production bonuses
- Relocation assistance or a sign-on bonus available
- Annual retention bonus
- Generous vacation and sick time
- Excellent CE allowance
- An unbeatable staff discount
- Solid mentorship and clinical support
- A collaborative, supportive team
- A purpose-built hospital with all the bells and whistles, including endoscopy, advanced diagnostics, orthopedic surgery and dedicated surgical suites

Mentorship is a big deal to us.

If you are newer to emergency medicine, you won't be thrown into the deep end and left to figure it out. We provide strong mentorship and hands-on support, and our experienced doctors genuinely enjoy teaching. Our philosophy is simple: We hire good people who are eager to learn. We can teach you emergency medicine. And if you're already an experienced ER veterinarian, you'll have plenty of autonomy and the opportunity to bring your own experience and ideas to the team.

There is huge demand for emergency care in Fredericton, and we’re excited about where we’re going.

Come help us build something great.

We’re growing. We’re independent. We’re locally owned. And we’re just getting started.

Interested?

Send your resume [email protected] or drop by the hospital for a clinic tour and to say hi. We’d love to meet you!
