About the Position:

The Employment Resource Advisor plays a critical role in orienting and assisting all clients in the WorkBC Centre resource hub. The Terrace WorkBC Centre strives to create a welcoming, accessible, informative, inclusive and culturally appropriate workplace that supports and assists individuals to prepare for, secure, and maintain sustainable employment. As such, the Employment Resource Advisor plays a vital role in ensuring clients are welcomed and have their individual needs met

· Qualification Experience and Abilities:





· Proficient use of social media and MS Office & use specialized software to process client information

· Ability to problem solve common computer and office equipment problems.

· Ability to search the web and other sources for job opportunities

· Assists clients with job search and job start activities

· Provide support(s) for clients registering for self serve services

· Comfortable working with individuals with complex barriers and a broad range of cultural backgrounds

· Provide excellent customer service and possess the ability to resolve issues both in person and in a virtual service delivery system.

· Possess patience, tact, flexibility and the ability to build rapport with clients

- Must have clean criminal background check

· Experience working in a social service environment is an asset Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$24.00 per hour
