Class format: Small-group classes and Special English workshops
We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate, and dedicated English teacher who enjoys helping children become stronger readers, writers, and communicators. The teacher will work with students ages 4–14 in small groups of 4–5 and lead Special English workshops for groups of 8–12 students.
Our Special English workshops focus on grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and creative writing. The ideal candidate can explain concepts clearly, make lessons engaging, and support students at different skill levels.
Responsibilities
- Teach English to students ages 4–14 in small groups of 4–5.
- Lead Special English workshops for groups of 8–12 students.
- Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and creative writing through structured, engaging activities.
- Review and grade student work, providing transparent and encouraging feedback.
- Track and update student progress in our portal after every class.
- Communicate student progress and concerns to the Centre Manager and provide parent updates when required.
- Support students with different learning needs and help build their confidence.
- Maintain a positive,
structured classroom environment and attend teacher meetings and training as needed.
- Assist with afternoon summer camp supervision and activities when required.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of English grammar, reading comprehension, and writing instruction.
- Experience teaching or tutoring children, including leading group lessons.
- Ability to engage and manage a workshop group of 8–12 students.
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
- Patient, reliable, and enthusiastic about working with children.
- Comfortable using Google Sheets and basic computer tools.
- A valid teaching certificate is preferred. Previous teaching, tutoring, childcare, or camp experience is an asset.
