Overview
Trade-Mark Industrial Inc. is looking for a hands-on, mechanically inclined Repair Technician to join our team in Cambridge. This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, cleaning, and maintaining a wide variety of tools and equipment used in an industrial construction environment.
We are looking for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, takes pride in their work, and can confidently work with both mechanical and electrical equipment. This position offers a rewarding prospect for those passionate about technical work, problem-solving, and delivering top-notch service.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and maintenance on electric hand tools, hydraulic equipment, gas-powered equipment, propane equipment, welders, and other industrial tools.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with tools and equipment.
- Test electrical and mechanical systems, including checking voltage, circuitry, switches, cords, motors, and related components.
- Identify the root cause of equipment and tool failures.
- Disassemble equipment and replace worn, damaged, or defective components such as switches, brushes, cords, gears, bearings, seals, and other parts.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks to prevent future breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan
- Read and interpret schematics to accurately identify problem areas and implement effective solutions
- Clean, oil, lubricate, and service equipment to improve reliability and extend service life.
- Inspect and clean tools and equipment returned from jobsites.
- Perform preventative maintenance and regular equipment inspections.
- Test repaired equipment to confirm safe operation and proper function before returning it to service.
- Maintain an organized and clean repair/work area.
- Assist with maintaining repair records and identifying parts required for repairs.
- Work with operations and field personnel to ensure tools and equipment are repaired and returned to service efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and service reports for accountability and future reference
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
- Experience repairing tools, equipment, machinery, or similar mechanical/electrical equipment.
- Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience with hydraulic and small-engine equipment is an asset.
- Ability to use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to safely disassemble, repair, reassemble, and test equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
- Organized and able to manage multiple repairs and priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence in good standing is an asset.

Pay: $19.39-$37.30 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 44.0 per week
