Accenture Construct - Cost Estimator, COM Construction Management | Engineering | Project Controls | Project Management | Full-time You didn't get into this to manage one piece of a project. You'll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving — smarter, safer and more sustainably. You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI.
We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land. Plan appropriate means and methods and perform medium complex estimating assignments for capital and professional services projects. Provide support for large or mega complex estimates ~ To ensure cost estimating processes are in place, working closely with client and other stakeholders to provide cost estimates against project requirements. ~ Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice, cost estimating vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance. ~ Analyze and identify key areas of improvement and apply cost estimation techniques to drive cost reductions and aid operational processes and efficiency. ~ Review, analyze and understand economic trends and consider risks and cost implications. ~ Utilize cost methodologies and tools and appropriate software models and packages to prepare and maintain reliable and accurate cost data. ~ Ensure appropriate monitoring, reporting systems and procedures are in place to meet objectives ~ Formulate discipline estimates and cost presentations, comparisons, and reconciliations ~ Participate in the preparation of construction cost estimates throughout all phases of the project ~ Verify quantity take-offs ~ Support the estimating team in maintaining and trending historical cost data ~ Analyze cost breakdowns and price schedules submitted by contractors ~ Ensure project estimates and forecasts reflect current and recent market values ~ Office-based Minimum of 10 years of consistent cost estimating experience with a strong focus on federal government and infrastructure projects.
Bachelor’s degree in construction, Engineering, or Architecture required; Eng. licensure or certifications including Certified Engineering Technologist (CET), Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE), and Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS) Significant experience of cost estimating or finance in Rail and Infrastructure projects, including heavy civil construction. Strong IT systems knowledge and skills including advanced Excel skills. Estimating software skills an asset.
