Bad Axe Throwing Windsor – Event Host / Axe Throwing Coach

About the Role

Bad Axe Throwing Windsor is looking for an outgoing, reliable person to join our team as an Event Host / Axe Throwing Coach.

You'll host everything from first-time throwers and walk-ins to birthday parties, corporate events and leagues. You'll teach guests how to throw safely, run games and competitions, and help create the fun, welcoming experience we're known for.

No axe-throwing experience is required — full training is provided. We're much more interested in finding someone with the right personality, reliability and ability to work with people.

Responsibilities

- Teach guests safe and proper axe-throwing techniques
- Host group bookings, corporate events, parties, leagues and walk-ins
- Run games and friendly competitions
- Keep groups engaged and make sure guests have a great experience
- Enforce safety rules and facility standards
- Check guests in and provide excellent customer service
- Serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with Smart Serve requirements
- Assist with setup, cleanup and general facility upkeep
- Perform basic target and equipment maintenance
- Occasionally pick up last-minute or on-call event shifts when available

Requirements




- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Smart Serve certification required
- First Aid certification is an asset
- Outgoing, confident and comfortable speaking in front of groups
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Customer service, hospitality, recreation, coaching or event experience is an asset
- Flexible availability, particularly evenings and weekends

Schedule This is a part-time/casual position. Hours vary depending on bookings, events and business needs. Evening and weekend availability is important.
