The role
We're hiring licensed security guards on a casual basis for events around Edmonton. Our first assignment is a large event on the weekend of October 17–19, 2026, with day and overnight shifts during load-in, the event itself and load-out. After that, casual guards are called for upcoming events, construction sites, fire watch and other short-term work.
What you'll do
- Control access at entrances and restricted areas
- Help manage crowds and keep attendees safe during the event
- Patrol and protect equipment and materials overnight during load-in and load-out
- Respond calmly to incidents and de-escalate conflict
- Write transparent, accurate incident reports
- Communicate with your site supervisor and event staff
What you need
- A valid Alberta Security Services licence (required)
- Availability for some or all of the shifts from October 17 to 19
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, indoors and outdoors
- Comfort working flexible hours - overnight and on weekends
- A professional appearance and good communication skills
- Reliable transportation to the site

- First Aid and CPR
