Responsibilities

- Operate excavators safely and efficiently across various construction sites, handling tasks such as digging, trenching, lifting, and loading materials.
- Assist with the operation of related heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and pavers to support project needs.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment like Caterpillar excavators and ensure proper maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
- Collaborate with team members to execute site plans accurately, following project specifications and safety protocols.
- Support horizontal drilling operations when required, ensuring precision and safety during underground work.
- Maintain detailed logs of work performed, equipment usage, and safety checks for accountability and reporting purposes.




- Follow all safety guidelines diligently, including PPE usage and hazard identification, to keep the worksite secure for everyone.

Requirements

- Proven experience operating excavators in a construction environment; familiarity with heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and pavers is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge of construction machinery including Caterpillar equipment is essential for troubleshooting minor issues.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent certification to operate heavy machinery on public roads if needed.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks while maintaining focus on safety standards.
- Knowledge of construction processes such as paving, grading, and horizontal drilling enhances your versatility on site.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites.
- Additional skills in loader operation, backhoe handling, or dozer operation will be considered a plus.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
