Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Director to lead the End of the Rainbow Foundation with energy, purpose, and strategic insight. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of organizational management, ensuring that programs are effectively implemented, resources are optimally allocated, and the mission is advanced with enthusiasm. Your leadership will inspire our team, foster community engagement, and drive sustainable growth.

The position will oversee services run out of Calgary's only 2SLGBTQ+ community centre, and offer a variety of services, including refugee and immigration services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a fast-paced, purpose-driven workplace. We are willing to consider full-time, part-time, or contract work depending on your experience and cover letter.

Duties

- Work closely with the End of the Rainbow Foundation's Board of Directors.
- Provide strong leadership by setting clear goals and motivating staff to achieve organizational objectives with enthusiasm and commitment
- Develop and oversee comprehensive budgets, ensuring responsible financial management aligned with organizational priorities
- Manage multiple programs simultaneously, ensuring they meet quality standards, deadlines, and strategic targets
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and funders to support organizational initiatives
- Oversee administrative functions including policy development, compliance, and reporting to ensure transparency and accountability
- Lead strategic planning efforts to identify new opportunities for growth and impact while maintaining focus on core mission

Experience





- Must demonstrate a connection and experience working with the 2SLGBTQI+ community in Calgary.
- Proven administrative experience managing complex organizations or programs with a track record of successful leadership, we are looking for 5 years experience or more.
- Proven track record of applying for and obtaining grants and contracts.
- Strong budgeting skills with experience in financial planning, monitoring expenses, and resource allocation.
- Demonstrated program management expertise including planning, execution, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
- Experience working with refugees and immigrants, with an in-depth knowledge of refugee and immigration systems.
- Supervising experience leading diverse teams, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes high performance.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate vision clearly and build consensus among stakeholders.
- Prior experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations is highly desirable.
- Must demonstrate an ability to work well with diversity communities, in particular the 2SLGBTQI+ community.

Experience

- refugee and immigration: 1 year (preferred)
- leadership: 3 years (required)
- Grant proposal writing: 3 years (required)
- budget and financial management: 3 years (preferred)

Language:
- French and/or another language besides English and French (preferred)
