The Executive Director supports the collaboration and oversees Sanare’s host-site responsibilities while respecting each partner agency’s independent mandate, authority, personnel, and services.

· Oversee program planning, quality, outcomes, evaluation, and improvement, ensuring services are responsive, effective, trauma-informed, and aligned with community needs and funding requirements.
· Lead Sanare’s advocacy and systems-change efforts locally and provincially, and actively contribute to the Alberta Association of Sexual Assault Services and the Alberta Child and Youth Advocacy Centre Network.
· Provide backbone support for SEACAC through partner coordination, shared planning, communication, and follow-through on agreed priorities; oversee Sanare’s physical host site and related operational supports.
· Guide financial planning and stewardship, support diversified and sustainable funding, and maintain strong relationships with funders.
· Oversee grant development, evaluation, and accurate reporting; participate in funding and service contract negotiations; and manage projects, contractors, and consultants.
· Lead fair, accountable people practices, including performance management and disciplinary processes, and consult Sanare’s external HR provider on complex matters as appropriate.

· At least seven years of progressive leadership experience, including a minimum of three years in a senior management or executive role in a nonprofit, human-services, advocacy, or related organization.
· Significant knowledge of and experience in the sexual violence and/or child abuse sectors, including prevention, advocacy, trauma-informed practice, and coordinated service responses.
· Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a diverse skilled team, coach and develop staff, and support principled advocacy and respectful dialogue.
