Windley Contacting is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Lowbed Driver to safely transport heavy construction machinery and oversized equipment to and from various job sites. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, and has strong routing knowledge, expert cargo securement skills, and a commitment to on-time, compliant deliveries.

Responsibilities:

- Drive lowbed trucks and multi-axle trailers to haul heavy machinery like excavators, loaders, and boom lifts.
- Load and Secure: Safely load, unload, and tie down heavy equipment using chains, binders, and proper securement protocols.
- Route Planning: Plan safe travel routes and handle over-dimensional or overweight permits as required by provincial regulations.
- Safety Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Compliance: Maintain accurate electronic or paper logbooks and adhere to all National Safety Code and traffic laws.
- Communication: Coordinate daily schedules smoothly with dispatch, project managers, and site personnel.

Qualifications:

- Licence: Valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence with a clean commercial driving abstract.
- Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years of verifiable lowbed and heavy equipment hauling experience.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with oversized load regulations, permit restrictions, and local / regional geographic areas.
- Physical Requirements:



Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb onto trailers/cabs, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including occasional weekends.
