We are currently hiring for multiple positions and are particularly interested in candidates with previous oilfield helper or labourer experience. Experience assembling, rigging in and breaking down piping and oilfield equipment is a strong asset.

- Well-testing helper
- Pipefitter helper
- Testing or measurement helper
- Oilfield equipment operator or labourer
- Production-testing or flowback helper
- Other hands-on oilfield roles involving piping, valves, fittings or pressure equipment

Experienced candidates will be given preference; however, we may consider a highly motivated entry-level candidate with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.

Job Summary

This position involves physically demanding work and frequent travel to remote locations. Employees will regularly stay in hotels or camps. Our primary work areas include Grande Prairie, Fox Creek, Grande Cache and Fort St. John.

Daily subsistence or a camp bonus is provided when applicable. Wages are based on relevant experience, demonstrated ability and qualifications.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, physically fit, dependable and comfortable working long days in changing field conditions. Candidates with experience safely assembling piping and working around pressurized oilfield equipment are strongly encouraged to apply.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Follow direction from lead technicians and mentors.
- Safely assemble, rig in, rig out and break down piping, hoses, valves, fittings and testing equipment.
- Assist with lifting, carrying, loading and positioning pipe and other heavy equipment.
- Help maintain and repair test and measurement equipment under supervision.




- Assist with LGR testing using portable three-phase separators and customer-owned permanent separators.
- Assist with gas-meter calibration and servicing.
- Assist with liquid-meter proving and general measurement work.
- Perform general maintenance on Lynx equipment and customer sites.
- Follow all Lynx, client and industry safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
- Complete basic field documentation as required.

An instrumentation apprenticeship may be available to selected employees who demonstrate the necessary ability, attitude and commitment.

Preferred Experience and Skills

- Previous oilfield helper or labourer experience is a strong asset.
- Experience assembling and disassembling piping, valves, fittings, hoses or pressure equipment is a strong asset.
- Pipefitter-helper, well-testing, production-testing, flowback or similar field experience is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with computers and Microsoft Excel is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical work and lift heavy equipment safely.
- Willingness to travel extensively and stay in hotels or camps.
- Experience pulling trailers is an asset.

Training on Lynx equipment, policies and procedures will be provided.

Requirements

- Valid Class 5 or higher driver’s licence.
- Clean driver’s abstract.
- Current First Aid, H2S Alive and CSO certifications.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
- Reliable attendance and the ability to report for scheduled field work.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
