Field Service Technician – 310T / 310S Licensed

Genrep is looking for an experienced Field Service Technician to join our Toronto team.

The Opportunity As a Field Service Technician,



you will travel to customer sites throughout the Toronto/GTA area to service, maintain, diagnose and repair generators, engines and related power-generation equipment.

If you enjoy troubleshooting, working independently and solving mechanical and electrical problems rather than performing the same repairs every day, this role offers an opportunity to broaden your technical expertise.

What You'll Do

- Service, maintain and repair generators, diesel engines and related equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and servicing
- Conduct Megger and Load Bank testing as required
- Identify equipment issues and recommend appropriate repairs
- Complete service documentation accurately and on time
- Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams
- Maintain your tools, equipment and service vehicle in excellent working condition
- Follow all company, provincial and federal safety requirements
- Represent Genrep professionally while working at customer sites

What We're Looking For We'd like to speak with technicians who have strong mechanical, diesel and diagnostic experience.

Preferred background:

- Valid 310T or 310S licence
- Experience servicing diesel engines, generators, heavy-duty equipment,



fleets or similar equipment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
- Experience with electrical diagnostics is highly valued
- Preventative maintenance experience
- Ability to work independently in a field-service environment
- Valid Ontario G driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Comfortable using computers and digital service documentation
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and perform the physical requirements of the position

Additional Assets Experience or certification in any of the following is an advantage, but not required:

- Generator or power-generation equipment
- CSA C282 generator maintenance standards
- EGSA certification
- Electrical systems
- Diesel engines
- OBT1 certification
- Load Bank testing
- Megger testing
