Sandvik Mining Field Service Technician (Surface Drills) / Heavy Duty Mechanic Sandvik Mining is seeking a Field Service Technician (Surface drills) / Heavy Duty Mechanic. Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operational performance.

Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Complete accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports, and parts lists. Stay current with industry, customers, product developments and technical best practices.

Comply with safety policies and applicable government, customer, or industry regulations or requirements. Perform risk assessments ("Take Five") prior to each task. Maintain an orderly work area and ensure housekeeping requirements are met.

Attend

Environmental, Health and Safety related trainings.



Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) for each task. Relevant trade certification (red seal is considered an asset). At least 3 years related experience with mining equipment (previous experience with equipment is also an asset).

Common

Core training is considered an asset. Excellent proficiency in reading hydraulic and electrical schematics. Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues with mining equipment.

Computer literacy (MS Office). Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to local mine sites and across Canada as required. Ability and willingness to work varied shifts (as required).
