Job Overview

We are seeking a agile and detail-oriented Financial Controller to independently manage 1-2 Lendix customers in Durham Region, ON.

This pivotal role involves managing accounting processes, significant data entry, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to financial management, leveraging their expertise to support strategic decision-making and drive organizational growth. As a key leader within our company, you will foster a culture of accuracy, transparency, and continuous improvement.

You will require a valid Ontario driver’s license and be energized by on-site work at 1-2 different offices for businesses in Construction, Manufacturing, and/or Not-For-Profit industries.

What You Will Do:

- Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Conduct account reconciliations and detailed account analysis to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Manage the implementation and utilization of accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage, or other relevant platforms
- Monitor cash flow activities, manage banking relationships, and optimize financial processes for efficiency
- Lead budgeting processes by coordinating with department heads to develop forecasts and track financial performance against targets
- Supervise month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring compliance with accounting standards





Your Talents, Skills, and Passion:

- Extensive experience with accounting software including QuickBooks and Sage, and other ERP systems
- Deep domain expertise with Microsoft M365 products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneDrive, SharePoint)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards in Canada (ASPE)
- Proven ability to manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently
- Expertise in payroll management and related compliance requirements
- Skilled in account reconciliation, account analysis, and financial data interpretation
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Highly effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and present financial insights clearly, manage conflict, and inspire change across different stakeholders and personalities
