Join our dynamic construction team as a Finish Grader Operator and play a vital role in shaping the foundation of our projects! In this energetic and hands-on position, you will operate heavy equipment to precisely grade and finish surfaces, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Your expertise in heavy machinery and construction processes will directly contribute to the successful completion of paving, roadways, and other infrastructure projects.

Duties

- Operate finish graders along with auxiliary heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and horizontal drilling machines to achieve accurate grading levels.
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and grade stakes to ensure accurate surface elevation and slope.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on grader machinery to guarantee optimal performance and safety standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and crew members to coordinate grading activities, paving, and other construction tasks.
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly, minimizing downtime on site.
- Assist with other heavy equipment operations like Caterpillar grader operation, bulldozing,



or paving as needed to support project timelines.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, equipment usage, and safety checks throughout each shift.

Qualifications

- Proven experience operating grader machinery with a strong understanding of grading techniques and construction site requirements.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and horizontal drills.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for transporting equipment or materials between sites.
- Hands-on experience with Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment brands is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols and ability to adhere strictly to OSHA standards.
- Ability to operate related machinery including loader operation, backhoe operation, horizontal drilling equipment, and paving machinery.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and coordination on busy construction sites.
