Hiring: Technical Expert – Flight Control Laws Design & Development

Location: Dorval, QC, Canada

We are looking for an experienced Flight Control Laws / Flight Controls Engineer to join our aerospace team.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop new and existing Flight Control Laws (CLaws).
- Support Flight Control, Autopilot, and Navigation development.
- Develop and validate system and control-law requirements.
- Perform simulation, verification, and testing of control laws.
- Analyze aircraft stability, performance, handling qualities, and system failures.




- Support Fly-By-Wire (FBW) system integration and testing.
- Work with simulation tools, test rigs, hardware, and flight-test data.
- Support compliance with aviation standards such as DO-178B and SAE ARP 4754.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Flight Control Laws / Fly-By-Wire aircraft development.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft dynamics, aerodynamics, stability, and control systems.
- Experience with MATLAB and Simulink.
- Proficiency in C++ and MATLAB scripting.
- Knowledge of SISO/MIMO and advanced control techniques.
- Understanding of Kalman filtering / state estimation is an advantage.
- Knowledge of DO-178B and ARP 4754.
- Fluent in English and French.
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
