Fort McMurray Composite High School is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our instructional team in the role of Junior High PE & Wellness and Science Teacher.

Requirements:

- Bachelor of Education

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The Ideal Candidate would possess the following background, philosophy, and experience:

- Experience teaching in a junior high school setting, with knowledge of Science and Physical Education programs of study.
- Proven ability to build positive and collaborative relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Adaptable team player who is able to adapt if needed.
- Effective organization skills and classroom management.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining regular positive communications with parents.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic.
- Be a reflective practitioner.
- Ability to utilize technology as an instructional tool.
- An ability to design and implement Individual Program Plans for students with additional needs.
- Possesses a strong ability to create a classroom environment characterized by inclusion, equity, and differentiated instruction.
- A base knowledge of differentiated instruction techniques.




- Has demonstrated an ability to support and meet the needs of FNMI and EAL students in the classroom.
- A willingness to participate in the school community beyond the classroom
- A commitment to continuous professional growth.
- Knowledge of the Collaborative Response Model is an asset.
