About Us
Ivey’s 39 Country Initiative provides free access to over 10,000 business cases and teaching materials to professors in 47 of the world’s least developed countries—those with a per capita GDP under $2,000 USD. Over 3,200 faculty have registered so far. In partnership with the Academy of International Business, Ivey has shipped books and teaching resources to institutions in Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, with support from 23 global collection nodes. Business schools are encouraged to donate materials to expand the reach of this initiative.
Responsibilities
The Case Teaching Workshop Assistant supports the ongoing success of the Case Teaching Workshop program within the 39 Country Initiative. This role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with faculty members who have previously attended workshops, as well as supporting communication with educators registered for upcoming sessions. Through proactive outreach, follow-up, and participant support, the Workshop Assistant helps foster engagement with case-based learning and encourages the continued application of case teaching methods in classrooms around the world.
About the Program The 39 Country Initiative is committed to expanding access to high-quality business education in the world's 47 lowest-income countries per capita GDP under $2,000 USD. Through free Case Teaching Workshops led by experienced faculty members, educators gain practical training in the art and science of case teaching, helping them create dynamic, discussion-based learning experiences that develop critical thinking, decision-making, and leadership skills.
To date,
the initiative has delivered more than 40 complimentary workshops and engaged over 1,650 faculty members from 59 universities. Within the 47 eligible countrieres there are 2500 universities with a program in business, totalling about 100,000 professors with 10-20 miliion students annually.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct follow-up outreach with participants who have previously attended Case Teaching Workshops through email, phone calls, and WhatsApp.
- Maintain regular follow up communication with participants scheduled to attend upcoming workshops, providing information, reminders, and support.
- Build and nurture relationships with workshop participants to encourage continued engagement with case-based learning initiatives.
- Monitor and update participant records, communication logs, and contact databases.
- Respond to participant inquiries and direct questions to Professor Beamish
- Create and maintain branded email templates for participant outreach, communications, and follow-up activities.
- Prepare participant communications, follow-up campaigns, and outreach materials.
- Track engagement metrics and assist in reporting on participant outcomes and program impact.
- Record and track all follow-up attempts, including email, phone, and WhatsApp communications, to ensure accurate documentation and timely engagement.
- Ensure all communications adhere to established branding guidelines and maintain a consistent, professional voice and visual identity.
Education:
- Community College Diploma in an administrative field
Experience:
- 1-2 years' experience providing administrative support and customer service in an office environment
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable communicating professionally via email, telephone, and WhatsApp.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse cultures and geographic regions.
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with customer service, stakeholder engagement, event coordination, or participant support is an asset.
- Interest in international education, faculty development, and case-based learning is preferred.
