Responsibilities

- Assist in food preparation by chopping, assembling, and organizing ingredients to ensure quick service times
- Support kitchen staff with food handling, sanitation, and maintaining cleanliness standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Serve customers with a friendly attitude, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and upselling specials when appropriate
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and cashiering duties




- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service and minimize wait times
- Maintain the cleanliness of the truck’s kitchen area, dining space, and equipment to uphold health standards and sanitation protocols

Requirements

- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing POS systems confidently
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting supplies or equipment
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Familiarity with food industry standards including serving techniques, food handling, and upselling strategies is a plus
